How reply language actually works
AISoul has no Hinglish toggle and no language dropdown in Settings. Companion prompts say: reply in the same language as the user’s latest message, and switch when that line switches. Photo/video pick hints and older messages do not keep the old language. Greeting before any user line is English.

Production-prompt test on companion Emma Brooks (id 36), same soul prompt + latest-message language lock as live chat. One thread of 10 mixed-input turns, plus a separate aap/tum thread. This is one production-prompt test on one companion, not a general Hinglish benchmark.

There is no Hinglish toggle. Roman Hindi / Hinglish uses Latin letters, so the language lock treats that line as English-only. A 2026-09-02 backend lab on Emma Brooks did not stay mixed for four turns: replies 1–2 were English-only. After an explicit “Hinglish mein baat kar” on turn 9, mixed Roman Hindi appeared. This page does not claim a natural mix or a dialect pack.
Are these companions built for India?
No. The featured cards are an international prefab female roster. There is no India-exclusive character creator and no guarantee of Mumbai, Delhi, or Uttar Pradesh cultural knowledge.
