SpicyChat's official context guide, rechecked September 17, explains that character setup and conversation share the available context. A larger advertised window can hold more text, but it does not by itself establish reliable recall. Long character definitions can leave less room for recent dialogue. Concise setup and a current summary may help before you switch products.
For your own test, use a fictional nickname, a favorite color and a weekend plan. Check recall after a topic change and again in a later session.
