What SpicyChat and CrushOn actually let you control
Character definition, your persona, active context and saved memories are different controls. A bigger context window does not automatically repair a contradictory character card or guarantee a remembered preference.
SpicyChat's Memory Manager lets eligible paid users add, edit, delete and pin concise memories after a few chat messages. Entries have a 250-character limit. Pinning includes the memory in generation context; deleting it does not remove earlier chat messages that mention it. Semantic Memory on higher tiers can populate the same manager automatically, so inspect and correct those summaries rather than assuming the automatic version is always right.
SpicyChat currently has conflicting official context descriptions. The premium guide advertises up to 32K on All In, with model-specific limits; the September 21 support matrix lists 16,384 tokens for that tier. Do not promise 32K on every model. Check the selected model and live entitlement, and record the discrepancy instead of silently picking the larger number.
CrushOn's older Tokens explanation separates retained character/pinned information from temporary conversation context. Pinned text consumes room that would otherwise hold dialogue. Its “permanent” label describes that context design; it is not proof of permanent, accurate recall of all conversations. Current marketing also names different model/window sizes. We did not verify that every advertised model name maps to a particular upstream API or that one model has universally superior memory.
For either service, use a short owned fictional card, fix one stale fact and repeat neutral callbacks. Keep model and reply length stable while comparing. If you change the card, model and subscription at once, you cannot attribute a better answer to any single setting.
Free queues and Pro credits are different limits
SpicyChat's free roleplay page markets unlimited messages. Its queue support explains waiting during traffic peaks and paid queue removal. Marketing about message volume is not a promise of instant replies, no rate limits or identical guest/signed-in access everywhere. We did not measure a universal daily counter, so the common “100 free messages/day” claim is not used here.
The checked CrushOn marketing page advertises unlimited chats on free models, plus 100 monthly credits for Pro Models. These are separate routes. Do not describe the allowance as 100 total replies or assume the default selected model costs nothing. Its older FAQ also uses coins and bonus-message terminology; those units cannot be substituted for today's model-credit debit without checking the current account.
Record four things in a free test: selected model, opening balance, closing balance and any queue/cutoff. A finished reply without a visible debit can support that observation, not permanent zero-cost access. A queue delay is a waiting issue; a depleted Pro balance is a usage issue. Neither observation independently establishes response quality.
For a projected paid workload, use your own observed credits per accepted reply on one model, multiplied by planned replies. Add charged regenerations and voice separately, and adjust for grants, refunds, replenishment or expiry. Do not translate a credit balance into dollars without a verified pack/plan price or assume all models debit one unit per message.
SpicyChat documents generated Conversation Images, but access differs by tier and character. Its image guide makes True Supporter access more selective, while All In includes all characters, including privately created ones. Eligibility does not guarantee face consistency or correct interpretation of a scene.
CrushOn's official FAQ says a character sends images only when the creator designed it to. That does not establish arbitrary prompt-to-image generation on every card. Ask whether the actual image is generated for the current prompt, supplied by the creator or another media format; do not turn an unclear capability into either a universal “yes” or “none.”
SpicyChat's All In TTS reads replies. CrushOn Voice Chat lets users choose a tone and play a voice under a message; it consumes variable Message Credits, and some tones require Luxe or above. Despite the feature name, that workflow is reply playback, not documented evidence of a real-time phone call.
SpicyChat's September 29 support statement explicitly says it does not have video generation. We did not verify an equivalent universal video-generation entitlement for CrushOn. A static avatar, voice readout or undocumented video claim cannot satisfy a requirement for a new private clip. Use the video-format guide if moving media is the actual purchase reason.
Compare current subscriptions and the next renewal
The two entry monthly prices are close; their entitlements and usage model matter more than four cents. Use current official terms rather than a $5/$14.95 SpicyChat table predating September 8.

SpicyChat's pricing FAQ says changing tiers or billing interval moves a locked-rate subscriber to current pricing. An expired subscription loses the old rate; reactivation before expiry can preserve it. It also discusses one-time payment methods, so not every SpicyChat purchase is inherently recurring. The cancellation guide points web subscribers to profile/Manage Subscription; purchases elsewhere follow their actual billing owner.
For CrushOn, the FAQ describes cancellation through the original store/provider and benefits through the paid period. Record plan, term, next charge, credit type, any extra package and voice consumption. A one-time extra credit/chat package is not the same as a one-time base subscription. Deleting an app or character is not cancellation, and cancellation does not promise a refund.
Run the Portable 20-Message Comparison Protocol
Compare SpicyChat and CrushOn using one original fictional adult character and matched inputs. The protocol is a worksheet, not a claim that we performed it or that every free account can complete twenty replies on the selected model.
1. Use a brief you own: adult fictional character, goal, tone, location, two facts and one boundary. Keep it consistent across services; do not copy a creator's private card without permission.
2. Record the account tier, model, opening meter and reply-length setting. Note any difference in supported card fields rather than pretending the two setups are identical.
3. Run the same plot beats up to twenty replies, or stop earlier at a limit. Introduce a harmless fact near the start, change topic, then issue a correction and a later callback.
4. Save literal replies, partial/failed recall, repetition, user-agency problems, regenerations, queue waits and observed debits. Record an unavailable image/voice feature as unavailable in that tested condition, not absent everywhere.
5. Repeat the short scene once with the same settings if the budget permits. Decide which friction and correction route you can accept before paying to remove a specific observed limit.
The important result is not a fabricated total score. It is whether the actual chosen card/model maintains your story, whether correcting it is manageable and whether the observed cost/wait fits your use. A card with poor instructions can confound a platform comparison; one excellent or failed reply is not a stable performance rate.
Migration checklist: a character card is not a relationship
Recreating a permitted card does not transfer hidden memory, subscription benefits or media rights. We did not verify automatic cross-product import of the complete SpicyChat–CrushOn relationship state.
- Card: keep only your own or properly licensed persona, greeting and example dialogue; record destination fields that differ.
- History: preserve permitted passages and a short owned summary before changing services. Do not assume every export imports elsewhere.
- Memory: recreate a few important facts, then test corrections and delayed callbacks. A pinned summary is not the complete conversation.
- Billing: cancel unwanted recurring items with each original provider and retain renewal/expiry confirmations.
- Data: review history, saved memories and account deletion separately. SpicyChat memory deletion does not rewrite old chat messages; private character/chat settings do not establish end-to-end encryption.
Keep the source account available until the destination passes your mandatory checks. Use fictional details rather than identity, health or financial data for testing. Neither app replaces professional care or a human relationship.

FAQ: SpicyChat vs CrushOn AI
Is CrushOn limited to 100 total free replies?
That is not what the checked current marketing says. It advertises unlimited chats on free models plus 100 monthly Pro credits. Check the selected model and meter; an allowance for Pro does not cap every free-model reply. SpicyChat separately markets unlimited free messaging with possible queues and other access conditions.
Which guarantees stronger memory?
Neither checked source establishes a universal guarantee. SpicyChat documents an editable/pinnable Memory Manager and tier-dependent Semantic Memory. CrushOn describes pinned/character versus temporary context and model-specific capacity. Test a correction and delayed callbacks on the actual card/model; capacity is not accuracy.
Do both offer live voice calls?
The checked workflows do not establish that. SpicyChat's All In TTS and CrushOn's Voice Chat documentation describe reply playback. CrushOn playback has a variable credit cost. A feature named Voice Chat is not sufficient evidence of live phone or video calling.
Which generates video?
SpicyChat's current support statement says it does not have video generation. We did not verify a universal CrushOn video-generation entitlement in the inspected sources. Do not replace that unknown with a claim that all CrushOn accounts have it—or that none ever can.
No universal statement is justified. SpicyChat documents recurring plans as well as non-renewing payment situations. CrushOn's base plans and separate packages must be checked with the original biller. Confirm the actual term and next charge; a one-time add-on does not make a recurring base plan non-renewing.
How this comparison was researched
Current linked official pricing, premium, memory, image, voice, queue and cancellation sources support this update. SpicyChat's 32K/16,384 context discrepancy is kept visible. CrushOn marketing is distinguished from older wiki explanations and unverified private checkout. Five different publishers' actual cited head-to-head articles informed the decision questions; unsupported daily limits, fixed retention periods, catalog quality rankings and supposed security benchmarks were not adopted.
No paid accounts, messages, image/video generation, call, controlled recall test or independent security audit was run. Real account defaults, action debits, response quality, latency and current private controls remain untested.
