Who is Candy AI for—and who should hold off?

Candy AI offers documented character-creation and visual features, so those are concrete reasons to investigate it. They do not establish that it is the best conversational companion. Choose a use case before choosing a subscription: a character you design, a short fictional conversation, and a reliable daily media habit require different evidence.

Our purchasing recommendation: investigate Candy when its creation tools are the attraction; hold off when the decision depends on performance you cannot yet verify. Not buying is a valid outcome. This guide is for adults evaluating fictional entertainment, not a substitute for real relationships or professional support.

What can you customize in Candy AI?

Candy AI offers existing characters and a character builder. The public creation screen, checked October 4, 2026, shows realistic and anime style choices. That verifies a starting choice, not every control claimed by third-party reviews.

Appearance is not conversation quality

Keep two questions separate: can you choose the presentation you want, and do replies follow your intended personality and boundaries? A thumbnail or detailed creator does not answer the second question. We have not verified a fixed number of adjustable parameters or generated a character for this review.

Standard Premium is not Premium Plus

The Premium Plus help article, updated August 28, 2026, lists 330 monthly tokens, user personas, chat customization, 20 memory slots and five cloned chats. Its benefits differ from the standard offer. We did not obtain an account-specific Plus price; do not assume the standard pricing table below buys Plus features.

Published settings and entitlements are not a measured improvement in personality or recall. If a particular setting is your reason to pay, confirm it in the offer for your account first.

Images, videos, voice and Live Action: what are you actually getting?

Candy's generated clips, voice interactions, scripted Shorts and simulated feed serve different purposes. Distinguish what you want to create from what you want to watch before deciding which extras matter.

The video guide warns that results can differ from selected presets. Candy Cam's feed is simulated—not a real person's camera stream. Do not assume every media feature appears only inside a chat, or treat a generated clip as proof of a live, two-way call. We have not tested these experiences in a paid account.

What can you try for free—and what remains untested?

Candy's free-user help page, updated May 5, 2025 and rechecked October 4, 2026, lists five chat messages across all characters, one custom character and one image. This is not a separate allowance for every character. Check your current account: the guide's age and offer differences matter.

Use the available messages for one small, fictional scenario rather than spreading an assumed allowance across several characters. For example, ask for a quiet café conversation, set a lighthearted tone, and see whether the next replies follow it. This is an editorial self-check, not our reported test result.

The trial may help you reject an unsuitable tone. It cannot establish multi-week memory, a repeated video's cost or whether paid extras are worthwhile. If a listed trial action is unavailable, record the limitation instead of opening extra accounts or paying just to finish a checklist.

What will Candy AI cost beyond the advertised monthly price?

Candy's standard public USD offer, checked October 4, 2026, separates the first charge from renewal. This is the visible standard offer—not a quotation for every account or Premium Plus. Source: official subscription page.

The standard offer lists unlimited text and 100 tokens per month. Auto-renewal applies; local taxes may be additional. The annual equivalent is not a monthly payment. Read the final checkout for your plan, currency, total and next charge rather than relying on this snapshot.

Subscription access and media usage are different

Candy's additional-token explanation says ordinary paid chat remains accessible after the allowance is used, while specified extras can require more tokens. Unlimited chat is not unlimited images, videos or voice use. Plus has a different allowance, as noted above.

Build a budget from actual inputs

The official pages reviewed did not provide a stable, complete per-action debit table. We cannot verify a fixed image count or universal top-up budget. Use this worksheet instead:

• Base cost: amount actually billed for your selected period, not just a monthly equivalent.
• Extra spending: token packs you decide to buy at the current prices shown to you.
• Other charges: disclosed taxes or payment-currency costs, if applicable.
• Stop condition: if an action's cost is hidden, leave it unknown; do not assume the balance covers it.

For an already eligible paid account, an observed debit supports a rough estimate for that same action, not every media type. Decide a spending ceiling before requesting more. How should you judge chat quality, memory and user reviews?

We cannot establish Candy AI's conversation or memory quality from a published feature list. This review includes no new controlled paid benchmark. Plus's documented memory settings do not prove a character will reliably remember every earlier conversation.

A small conversation check

Within your allowance, observe whether replies follow the topic, respect a harmless boundary and add something beyond repeating your wording. A wrong tone can be enough to stop. A suitable tone is only an initial impression—not evidence of long-term compatibility.

For an account you already use, a later recall check can use fictional information: mention a made-up preference, return in another session and ask about it without supplying the answer. Record the plan, date, session gap, prompt and response. Do not use an address, medical history or personal secret as a memory probe. This proposed check has no reported result here.

What other reviews can tell you

The supplied Babelgum discussion raises spending, repeated replies and privacy concerns. The AI Companion Guides review describes its author's longer experience. These identify useful questions, not our own findings or a representative failure rate.

Identity matters too. The supplied Trustpilot profile has a different registered domain, links to candy.wasabilyon.fr and describes a business chatbot. We do not attribute its rating to the candy.ai companion service. Check the actual product, date, plan, evidence and commercial relationship before comparing reviews.

Is Candy AI private, and what should you avoid sharing?

Candy's private-chat positioning is not a promise that nobody processes or retains messages. Its Privacy Notice, revised July 30, 2026, describes third-party AI/service processing, moderation, retention and data-request rights. It does not establish end-to-end encryption or an independently audited security guarantee.

Processing, retention and content rights

The notice says AI providers or hosters may receive messages, and flagged material may undergo human review. Data deletion has legal exceptions; financial records have separate retention requirements. Read Terms §4 for content permissions: input ownership is retained alongside a broad content license subject to the privacy notice. Do not assume exclusive commercial rights to generated material.

Practical privacy boundaries

Our recommendation is to keep fictional interaction separate from sensitive real-world data. Do not submit passwords, identification documents, payment details or another person's private information to a character. If the described processing is unacceptable to you, stop sharing content rather than assuming a paid upgrade solves the concern.

AISoul is not an exception: our privacy policy explains external AI processing and stored chats. We do not claim switching makes conversations anonymous or end-to-end encrypted.

How do cancellation, refunds and account deletion differ?

Stopping future renewals, requesting a refund and requesting deletion are separate tasks. Cancelling is not an automatic refund, according to Candy's refund help. We researched the instructions but did not complete any of these transactions.

Stop future renewals

The cancellation guide directs you to My Profile, Settings and Unsubscribe, including confirmation prompts. Paid access remains until the current period ends. Save confirmation and check the resulting status. If the control is missing, contact official support; closing the browser or deleting chat history is not confirmation of cancellation.

Check refund conditions before using more tokens

Terms §§10.4.1–10.4.3 distinguish purchase types. Standard subscription/non-token refund conditions include a 24-hour request window, card purchase and no more than 20 tokens used; user-side technical problems are excluded. Token-pack requests require unused tokens within 24 hours and card payment; mistaken purchases are not guaranteed refunds. EU/UK initial purchases have a separate 14-day withdrawal provision, with consumed services deducted; renewals are excluded. Eligibility is not guaranteed approval. Remaining tokens: official sources conflict

Terms §10.2, revised September 22, 2026, says tokens expire when a cancelled subscription period ends. An August 25 help article instead says they remain and become usable after resubscribing. We cannot reconcile these through a paid-account test. Do not budget on guaranteed preservation; obtain written clarification for your account before relying on unused tokens.

Request deletion separately

Use the data-request route in the Privacy Notice, §§6 and 9 for personal-data deletion. Confirm what is removed and what must be retained. An unsubscribe or refund confirmation does not establish complete erasure.

Candy AI vs. AISoul: which model fits your use case?

Candy AI and AISoul are not interchangeable media products. Candy documents creation tools; AISoul's current chat media is selected from an existing library. This house-product comparison concerns workflow, payment and documented limits—not an independently measured quality ranking.

AISoul's standard passes are $4.99/7 days, $8.99/30 days, $19.99/90 days and $49.99/365 days, checked October 4, 2026. Card checkout has a separate $12.99/60-day offer; short passes are not available through every channel. See current pricing and eligibility.

Candy's displayed standard annual base charge is lower than AISoul's annual pass. Media extras can change total spending, but AISoul is not always cheaper. Its paid sending allowance does not create infinite unique files, guarantee every requested scene or replace Candy's generation tools.

Which should you investigate? Keep Candy on the shortlist if designing visual content is essential. Consider AISoul if you accept an existing character/library and prefer fixed access without automatic renewal. If dependable long-term recall decides the purchase, neither workflow alone settles it. What should you check before paying?

Inspect Candy's purchase conditions and permitted trial before spending. Only assess paid-action results if you already have access and are willing to use the stated balance. This checklist does not require a purchase or promise completion in ten minutes.

Before payment

• Step 1 — Verify the destination. Start at candy.ai and its own help links. Check adult eligibility and regional rules in the terms, including the stated China/Singapore restriction. Do not evade them.
• Step 2 — Keep the trial small. Read the remaining allowance and try one fictional scenario within it. If the tone is unsuitable or the quota is exhausted, stop; a second character does not establish a fresh allowance.
• Step 3 — Read the offer. Record tier, currency, total, allowance, renewal and payment method. Do not confuse Premium with Plus or a monthly equivalent with a monthly charge.
• Step 4 — Decide an exit and a ceiling. Locate cancellation, read your refund conditions, note the token-retention conflict and choose maximum spending. If an essential feature or fee is unclear, ask support or hold off.

Only if you already have eligible paid access

• Read the charge before one representative media request. If hidden or over budget, stop rather than topping up automatically.
• If you proceed, record the starting balance, displayed cost, result and ending balance. A mismatch is a reason to keep the receipt and contact support—not proof the next attempt is free.
• Judge the received item against your task. Record missing or unsuitable output; a single success does not guarantee a future media count.

Is Candy AI worth paying for in 2026?

It may be worth investigating for character creation and visual interaction. Buy only when the actual plan, reply style and spending requirements fit your task. This documentation-based review does not establish that Candy beats every companion app.

Can you evaluate Candy AI properly for free?

You can form a limited first impression within the documented trial. It does not establish paid-media reliability or long-term compatibility. Keep unanswered questions unknown instead of exceeding the allowance.

Does unlimited chat include unlimited images and video?

No. Candy distinguishes ordinary paid chat from extras needing tokens. Check your tier and action instead of applying an unlimited-chat label to every feature.

How many images can 100 tokens produce?

We cannot verify a fixed count from the public material reviewed. Use the current debit for the same action and account. An attempt, a usable result and an image you want to keep are also different counts; not every debit necessarily buys an acceptable output.

Does Candy AI remember previous conversations?

The official Plus description lists memory settings, but this review has no new cross-session recall result. A configured field and successful long-term recall are different evidence. Use fictional details when assessing an account you already use.

Does cancelling also refund the payment or delete the account?

No automatic refund should be assumed. Candy's refund help requires a separate request. For data deletion, use the privacy-policy route and confirm its scope; cancellation does not prove records were erased.

How is AISoul's media model different from Candy AI?
